Timothy A. Smith,
President, NATCA Local ZFW
Tim "Cuzin IT" Smith took office as our President and Facility Representative on July 1, 2003, and is now serving his second term. Immediately prior to that, Tim had served as our Vice President since December 1, 2001. Tim has been at Fort Worth Center since January 21, 1998, and prior to that he was at Oakland ARTCC starting in May 1989. He has served as an Area Rep, Facility Secretary and QTP member in Oakland, as well as serving on the CQY Area Team here at Fort Worth.
Tim is interested in Disc Golf, as are many of our members. He is pursuing through member Mike Sizer, getting a charitable Disc Golf tournament started as a bi-annual event in conjunction with the National Convention. He is also interested in computers.
Tim has been married since December 1987 and has two children, both boys, ages 16 and 12. Tim is devoted to spending as much time as possible with his family, in spite of the time required by his other family (accomplishing his NATCA duties). So far, the balancing act seems to be working.
