TMU
Elections –
DOL will run the election; will be back to ZFW tomorrow to set rules (needs copy
of our election rules). DOL requests list of TMU NATCA Members (list available
for nominees’ viewing).

Committee –
No volunteers yet. Tony Rios requests that Area Reps. get volunteer from each
area to verify member list & addresses/phone #’s.

Secretary:
· Changing
election dates/ZFW NATCA Officers – UO contacted Bill McGowan, NATCA
Constitution Committee Chairman. FAXed copy of Local Constitution to him
(McGowan thinks it sounds too restrictive re: amendments to it). Will follow up
this week – expecting call from Bill first of week.

Blackburn, 530 Rep., updated Eboard on changes in ZFW contingency plans. New
plans easier to understand, condensed – “pull & replace” LOA pages will get to
each area soon. New decks for when we take approach airspace being built. Roy
Newsome retiring shortly – need replacement in 530 office (Art. 17?)

Project/Bronco MOAs Canon AFB mtg. – SR will talk to Bob Stevens tomorrow to get
Robert Ellis off schedule for mtgs. Scheduled week of 7/15.

FPB members need to look at current facility release policy “hammer it out”
prior to next FPB mtg. IT will speak

controllers using back emergency exit (door left ajar) on mids. PP will see
what security will say about problem – door needs to be fixed to close on its

approved illegally for 10 weeks. Area mgt. won’t do again. PP has discussed
rules with area.

signed this week. Imposes no more restrictions than exist now (some removed).

Presidential visits – ZHU requesting something in writing. 530 office is short
staffed and having trouble getting this done.

requested).

Crew 3
supervisor doesn’t know what “formal discussion” is. Talking to employees
outside of Art. 8 mtg. (over time on position grievance) w/out representation.

TMCs returning to areas and bidding for leave/RDOs. MB was told that both are
carried over with the ATC back to new Area if bidding done prior to leave year
(per 15F).

Area specific, can’t be changed w/out negotiations (mgt. needs to be
educated on rules)

EX’s idea: pick 4 or 5 settings (1 for each week) and have surveys filled
out. Setting w/high score is kept.

Light meter might be needed to recreate light intensity (settings hard to
recreate w/out one)

VC suggested that settings not gradually increased – people will get used
to increasingly higher setting. High, low, then medium settings will give more
accurate survey.

Uses of Rep.
Office

Dicussion on uses of “back” Rep. Office (for Reps only?). VC will talk to
non-Rep in the Rep office a lot (office for official work only).
