The Chair, IT, called the meeting to order at 1235.

 

Minutes:

Minutes from August 16, 2003: VC motioned to approve JF seconded. Approved as submitted.

 

 

Reports:

President:

  • Cru-X ZFW Local Rep will be Mike Demboski.
  • 15G Negotiations Tony Schneider (AO) will be Management Lead.
  • T-Shirts Colors – The only colors available are light gray, natural and white.  The E-Board decided by mutual consent that the colors will be Light Gray and Natural.
  • Cowboys tickets:
    • November 2nd, 2003 Washington Redskins will be raffled with proceeds to NCF.
    • Thanksgiving Day tickets v. Miami will be the Door Prize at the November 4th Business Meeting.
    • December 21st, 2003 will be used as the Holiday Party Door Prize/Raffle.
  • Tracker Standardization - NATCA Team Steve Hillerud and Keith Jordan.

 

Vice President:

  • URET negotiations to start Thursday.  A scheduling expert is needed.  Skip Marsh (SX) will join SR as the NATCA negotiating team for URET.

 

Secretary:

  • Holiday Cards have been ordered

 

Treasurer:

  • Checking – $ 7,720.13

  • Savings – $ 29,914.01

  • CDs – $ 10,497.28

 

Other Reports:

  • Scott Voigt (VT) spoke about the upcoming Communicating for Safety to be held in the Metroplex at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Irving April 20 and 21, 2004.

  • VT also spoke about Operations Raincheck and the possibility of getting access to the compound for individuals who are interested in attending.

 

 

Labor Relations:

 

FacRep:

  • The guests left the meeting and IT called an executive session for a few minutes to discuss some topics not for public dissemniation.

  • After the Executive Session was terminated, IT discussed Sick Leave letters that are being given to individuals at other Facilities.  It looks as though the Agency is going to start pursuing this more aggressively.  Be looking for this to happen at ZFW sometime in the future.

 

Facility Placement Board:

  • Placement of any possible new hires

 

Training:

  • Absent

 

BYP:

  • Absent

 

CQY:

  • None

 

FRI:

  • None

 

JEN:

  • OT is scheduled on the six week schedule

 

POS:

  • Labor Week Ice cream Social on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30 – 1:30.

 

TMU:

  • Absent

 

UIM:

  • None

 

UKW:

  • Communication with management in UKW is not what it should be.  Several issues where Laster is by-passing the Union and going straight to members.  The situation is about to come to a head.

 

 

Unfinished Business:

  • Spring on public access door to members’ area – will try to heighten awareness concerning closing the door when members are getting too loud. The E-Board decided by mutual consent that a spring wasn’t necessary.
