The Chair, IT, called the meeting to order at 1245L.

Reports:

President:

• 3^rd Levels

IT was at 3^rd Levels this past week.  Some highlights:

1.)    No more removal letters for training failures;

2.) S/L letters discussed – NATCA gave new language for these (IT to send out to Eboard);

3.) Newhires’ grievance sustained re: back pay.

• Nepotism situation

Phil & Mary Hokit – with Phil back as OM, document when he and Mary work together.

New Business:

• Convention T-shirts for attendees:

Should Local supply T-shirts for Convention attendees so that all can wear them on one day of the NATCA Convention in St. Louis?  HY motioned for Local to give 1 shirt to each Convention attendee this September.  Discussion about what color.  HY amended his motion to add that the 1 shirt given to each Convention attendee be black, short-sleeve.  Seconded, passed (one opposed).

• “Received” Stamp:

Local needs new stamp for 2005.  UO will order.

• DRVSM:

XE requests Cadre list from Areas.  JF & XE talked about the DRVSM course run-through this past Mon/Tues – issue of non-DRVSM equipped aircraft effecting traffic flow and saying “unable” necessary to these pilots.

• New Stage Training to begin with after the group that is in Stage 3 right now.  Their training has been modified/shortened somewhat.

• 1^st meeting w/Kennedy w/out Carruth there went well.  BUE from BYP to CQY won’t work per Art. 94.  Discussion ensued re: MSNs and CSNs for Areas.  Is Art. 94 working?

• S/L letters being given in “informal” meetings between supes and BUEs.
